We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience using CAD software to create detailed technical drawings and plans for construction projects, preferably in the solar industry. This team member will work closely with our Pre-Construction team in the development of Community Solar sites throughout the Upper Midwest.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to refine electrical concepts and ensure designs meet technical and functional requirements.
- Modify and update existing designs to meet project needs or address changes.
- Review and verify the accuracy of electrical specifications and drawings.
- Perform quality checks on completed designs to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Prepare and maintain design documentation, including bills of materials, sketches, and technical manuals.
- Communicate effectively with the project team to resolve design issues and meet project deadlines.
- Create accurate and detailed CAD models, technical drawings, and blueprints based on project specifications.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Education: - A bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or renewables.
- Prior experience in a CAD design role, with a portfolio of completed Solar PV projects, is advantageous.

Preferred experience and/or training: - Previous design experience in the solar industry.
- Strong electrical background.
Preferred Licenses/Certificates:
· NABCEP PV Design Specialist
· Drone Pilot’s License
